Join In And Celebrate At The Inaugural Milwaukee Athletics Tailgate

MILWAUKEE – Save the date and join in on the festivities as the Milwaukee Athletic Department hosts the first “Milwaukee Athletics Tailgate” at Miller Park on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

The Milwaukee baseball team will be playing in its annual contest at Miller Park, hosting Wright State on the field, while student-athlete success will be celebrated off of it with festivities surrounding the inaugural “Black & Gold Scholarship Fundraiser”.

The tailgate will take place at Miller Park inside the first base concourse prior to the contest, which is scheduled for a first pitch of 5 p.m. The tailgate itself will run for the two hours prior, kicking off at 3 p.m.

“We are extremely excited to hold this event,” Milwaukee Director of Athletics Amanda Braun said. “It gives us a great opportunity to celebrate Panther Athletics while also supporting the success of our student-athletes. We look forward to a great crowd and a fun evening at Miller Park.”

Eventsscheduled include the opportunity to meet members of the coaching staffs of all sports, a silent auction, as well as the scholarship raffle drawing for the chance to win a custom-painted Harley Davidson motorcycle.

RSVP deadline is Monday, May 7. Admission to the gathering is $25 for adult, $10 for child (10 & under) and includes a tailgate-style buffet, two drink TICKETS and cash bar. Tables of 10 are $250.

The motorcycle raffle will raise scholarship funds for both the Peck School of the Arts and Milwaukee Athletics. Designed by Amber Van Galder, a UWM MFA candidate in Art & Design, the original motorcycle was used by the Milwaukee Police Department and generously donated by the House of Harley Davidson. It will be on display at several events at the House of Harley Davidson and at Educators Credit Union on North Avenue prior to the event on May 12.

Ticket cost for the motorcycle raffle are 1 for $25; 3 for $50 and 8 for $100 and can be purchased at the House of Harley (6221 West Layton Avenue) or by calling the Milwaukee Athletics ticket office at 414-229-5886.
